The OAIC administers the Privacy Act 1988 (incl. APPs and NDB scheme), Freedom of Information Act, credit reporting, and the Consumer Data Right (jointly with ACCC). Civil penalty proceedings under the post-2022 regime are now active (Medibank, Australian Clinical Labs).
