OTE (Ordinary Time Earnings)

Earnings on which super guarantee was payable (pre-Payday Super).

OTE under the SG Act includes ordinary hours worked + commission + shift loading + some allowances. Excludes overtime and most salary sacrifice. From 1 July 2026, OTE is replaced by Qualifying Earnings (QE) for Payday Super — a broader base that includes salary sacrifice.
